He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sanderson Scruggs; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Tammy Scruggs; his grandsons, George and John Robert Fields; his mother-in-law Geraldine Sanderson; his siblings-in-law, Mickey, Beth Mills, Joe, Vicki Sanderson, Brett and Missy Mills; his sister Brenda Scruggs; his daughter Daphne Scruggs Fields; his father-in-law Doug Sanderson; and his sister-in-law Toni Sanderson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Elkhorn Baptist Church (495 Duckers Rd, Midway, KY 40347). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Elkhorn Baptist Church (480 Duckers Rd, Midway, KY 40347).
