He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Thomas and Venus Daughtery Thomas; and his siblings, Kenneth Thomas, Harold Thomas, Lowell Thomas and Leona Spaw.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Dale Rowlett; his close friend Ruby Dale Rowlett of Milton, Kentucky; his daughters, Tammie Motley (Jeffrey) of Louisville and Stephanie Thomas (Mike Miles) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Jill Simmons (Charles Rector) of Milton, Gina Everett (Lyle) of Madison, Indiana and Jeff Rowlett (Kathy) of Milton, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Brittany, Holly, Katherine, Evan, Seth, Shane, Sam and Heidi; and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Nolan, Madelyn, Lincoln, Roman, Kennedy, Baylee, Annalee, Colton, Amara, Elijah, Levi, McKenna, Regan, Winnie, Charlie, Jackson, Ripley, Fletcher and Evie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Moffett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Life Church of Milton or the donor's charity of choice.
