She was predeceased by : her parents, Chester Lewis and Edna May Cain (Cunningham); her husband William Thompson; and her sisters, Margaret and Bonnie Cain.

She is survived by : her children, Peggy Barnard of Milton, David Thompson of Madison, Richard Thompson of Bellbrook and Cheryl McCreary of Scottsburg, Indiana; her brother Chester Cain of Vevay, Indiana; her grandchildren, Ashley Kendall, Paulle Thompson, Nick Thompson, Nathan Barnard and Casey Thompson; and her great grandchild Christen McCorkel.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Milton Baptist Church Building Fund. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
