He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvia Mae Williams Mahoney and George Carroll "Catty" Mahoney; his uncles, Rev. Charles Lucien "Jimmy" Mahoney and Hurley Allen Mahoney; his parents-in-law, Helen Eades Taylor, Rev. Henry F. Taylor and Opal Lucille Taylor; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Schermer, Joyce Taylor, Deanna Schermer, Jerry Sachleben, Howard Henry and Tim Schermer.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Evangeline Taylor Mahoney of Milton, Kentucky; his children, Ricky Mahoney (Jodi) of Hanover, Indiana, Randy Mahoney (Lisha) of Madison, Indiana and Darlene VanWye (David) of Dupont, Indiana; his grandchildren, Sara, Hanna (Jonah), Emma, Adam, Brittany, Ben (Alle), Brandon, Jamin, Brianna, Rylee and Miranda; his great grandchildren, Parker, Oliver, Kaiden, Lillyann, Dekland, Havik, Wylder, Brady, Nickolas, Lyam, Graham and August; and his siblings-in-law, Standley Taylor of Versailles, Kathy Taylor Henry of Madison, Dave, Cheryl Taylor of Lexington, Indiana and Gary Schermer (Jeanne) of Bloomington, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon's Memorial Bible Plan or Mt. Tabor Wesleyan Church.
