He was predeceased by: his daughter Robin Renee; his granddaughter Olivia Karoline; his siblings, Glen Gibbons (Sadie), Jerlena Combs (Richard), Jewell Cole (Jim), Ules Gibbons, Coy Gibbons (Lola), Chester Gibbons, Harold Gibbons, Shirley Cundiff (Doug), Francis Blair (Hank) and Vivian Brown (Jerry); and his close friends, Bert Marcum and Henry Howard.
He is survived by: his sons, Carroll David Gibbons (Rebecca) and William Bert Gibbons (Martha); his grandchildren, Christopher Cox (Cindy), Mesha Buis (Brant), Hannah Beeler (Greg), Maverick Cox and Meredith Cox; his brother Truman Gibbons (Phyllis); his siblings-in-law, Dolly Gibbons, Susan Gibbons, Darlene Gibbons, Verda Mae Wilder and Billy Joe Wilder (Louise); and his close friends, Darrell Powell, Lonnie Madon and Thomas King Evans.
