He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac "Ike" Saylor and Susie Brummett Helton Saylor; and his siblings, Tommy Saylor, Isom Saylor, Blaine Saylor, Murrell Saylor, Jeff Saylor, Charlie Saylor, Caroline Gross and Alkie Saylor.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Saylor; his son Rufus Saylor (Christy) of Molus; his sister Ethel Payne; and his granddaughter Jennifer O'neal. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Laws and Jones Funeral Home (114 S 3rd St, Harlan, KY 40831).
