It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Asa Sexton of Monticello, Kentucky, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Otis Sexton and Edith Sexton (Ferguson). He is survived by : his wife Florence Sexton; his children, Paula Groce (Mark) of Albany, Allen Sexton (Miranda) of Albany, Penny Abbott (Jeremy) of Monticello and Pam Smith (Jeremy) of Van Wert, OH; his grandchildren, Samantha Sexton, Beth Miller (Matt), C. J. Sexton, A. J. Smith (Melissa), Amie Jones, Andrew Sexton, Brittany Sexton, Jessie Smith and Matt Sexton; and his siblings, William Sexton (Wanda), Rosemary Collins, Larry Sexton (Sharon) and Jerry Sexton (Gail). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 2 bonus great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
