He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Dishman and Aderine Dishman (Lowe); his siblings, Hobert Lee Dishman, Goble Dee Dishman, Billy Jason Dishman, Jackie Kay Dishman and Gladys Lorene Owens; and his nephew Brian Wayne Dishman.
He is survived by: his wife June Dishman; his sons, Johnny J. Dishman and Jerry Dishman; his grandchildren, Christy Elaine Abbott and Daniel Isaiah Dishman; his great grandchildren, Will Brown, Ruger Abbott, Oakley Abbott, Renley Abbott and Reid Dishman; his siblings, James Perk Dishman, Homer Ike Dishman, Jimmy Dishman and Illa Jane Pyles; and his close friend Clyde Upchurch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
