It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Abner of Monticello, Kentucky, who passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Otha Abner and Flora May Brown Abner; and his siblings, Carl, Larry, Opal, Lethie, Jane and Shirley.

He is survived by : his children, Edward L. Abner of Monticello, Lora Mays (Mike) of Campbellsville and Candy Baker-Mobley (Ernie) of Somerset; his siblings, Jim, Eugene, Dorothy, Linda, Delores, Josie and Phyllis; his grandchildren, Jason Troxtle, Jordan Effner, Cody Abner, Josh Stringer, Kymber Lamers, Hayley Mounce and Kassie Baker Purvis; and also Danny Allen Adams. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, friends, family and 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
