He was predeceased by : his parents, Hershel Ray Dobbs and Vela Lou Gregory (Beechboard); and his wife Barbara Ann Dobbs (Davis). He is survived by : his children, Anna Vaughn (Jerry), Gary Dobbs and Angela Hardesty (Mike); his grandchildren, Cody Hardesty, Emily Vaughn and Kay Lee Hardesty Koontz (Jaden); and his sisters, Ina Mae Blevins, Betty Dawes, Debby Zimmerman, Lisa Leatherman and Ellen Vinson.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Parmley's Grove Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
