He is survived by: his wife Ruth Davis; his children, Walter Sowell (Hannah), Casey Sowell Vandiver (Ashley) and Evelyn Cheyanne Sowell (Daniel Grigsby); and his grandchildren, Parker and Emma.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
