She was predeceased by : her parents, James Robert and Nixola Smith Storey; her husband Charles Edgar Cowan, Jr.; her son Charles Edgar "Chuck" Cowan, III; her brother James Ronald "Ron" Storey; and her nephews, Terry Cowan and Robbie Storey.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Chuck Burton and Kara Burton; her niece Tabatha White; her nephew Jim Storey; her brother-in-law Kenneth Cowan (Janie); and her close friend Ashley Bertram.
