She was predeceased by : her mothers, Ola Jackson and Thelma Boston (Lovell); and her siblings, Preston, Joe, Gilbert, Tom, Frank Boston, Joyce Abbott and Nell Coop.

She is survived by : her husband Douglas Sims; her sons, Stephen Sims (Ara) and Byron Sims (Lori Jo); her granddaughter Maggie Jo Sims; and her siblings, Dan Boston (Glenna), Charles Boston (Phyllis), Betty Buckley, Sue Bassett (Hank) and Carolyn Speer.
