Maxine left this world on October 20, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Dishman and Ellen Dishman (Slavens); her husband Claude Gossett; her son Jeffery Gossett; and her brothers, Harold Dishman and Luke Dishman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Gossett and Sharon Hill (Allen); her grandchildren, Megan Cravens, Shawnna Troxell and Bridgette Shelton; and her sisters, Imogene Denney, Ruth Ann Hurd and Brenda Upchurch. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
