He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Barnes and Nila Barnes Gehring (Smith); and his wife Jessie Barnes (Stringer). He is survived by: his children, Tony Daniels (Lynn) and Melva Bolin; and his sisters, Deborah Zimmerman (Richard) and Nancy Hatmaker. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
