He was predeceased by: his mother Crecy Jane; his wife Anita Jones; and his great grandchild Eli Sloan. He is survived by: his father Dewey Jones; his daughter Paula Mann (Terry Mann) of Monticello, Kentucky; his grandsons, Ryan Marcum (Sean Gierich) and Chris Sloan (Melissa Sloan); his great grandchild Hadley Sloan; his stepgrandson Dustin Mann (Amanda); Graclee, Aaron and Aubree.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel (647 N Main St, Monticello, KY 42633). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of his late great-grandson, Eli Sloan. The Live Like Eli Foundation was established by Eli's parents following his passing in March 2026.
