He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Chaplin and Sandra Chaplin (Hicks); and his siblings, Melvin E. Chaplin, Ricky Melvin Chaplin, James Jessie Chaplin, Sherry Martin, Betty Jo Chaplin and Martha Miracle.
He is survived by: his sisters, Penny Burris (Anthony), Pamela Hatten (Joe) and Mary Jent (EJ); his nieces and nephews, William Chaplin Joshua (Tara), Cody Burris (Kassandra Hodges), Zachary Burris (Taylor Davis), Kaylee Burris, Nova and Zephyr Chaplin; and his pet Ginger. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews; 28 great nieces and nephews.
