He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Floyd and Anna Maye Nunley Floyd; his siblings, Preston, Sherman, William "Bill", Junior Floyd, Elsie Anderson and Jewell King; and his grandson Mark Wayne Pennington.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Gregory Floyd; his children, Lawrence Floyd (Nancy) of Ft. Payne, AL, Donna Pennington of McMinnville, TN and Jessie Burt (Jerry) of Ft. Payne, AL; his sister Pauline Judkins (Clyde) of McMinnville, TN; his stepchildren, Michael Gregory (Janie) of Monticello, Angela Kidwell (John) of Monticello and Pamela Lewis (Jamie) of Somerset; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Koontz (Bill Knight) of Monticello and Velma Tucker of Somerset. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Humane Society.
