He is survived by: his wife Kathy Mitchell (Jones); his daughters, Amanda Stephens (Jason), Sarah Mitchell and Kellie Pyles (Derrick); his grandchildren, Mahala, Charlie Michael and Amelia Pyles; his brother Dennis Mitchell (Connie); and his close friend Suzy Pitman.
