He was predeceased by: his parents, Mit James and Maxine Lambert James Butcher. He is survived by: his sons, Danney James (Julie) of Morehead and Tom James (Cassie) of Morehead; his grandchildren, Nicholas James, Kevin James, Haley James and Nick Greene; his great grandchild Adalynn Greene; and his brother Phillip James of Jeffersontown, Kentucky. He is also survived by two nieces; as well as extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Northcutt & Son Home For Funerals (400 Fraley Dr, Morehead, KY 40351). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
