She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Short and Alma Short; her husband Glenn Johnston; and her sister Eulene Neeld. She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Bolin and Alicia Carter; her sons-in-law, Kim Bolin and Dewayne Carter; her grandsons, Eric Carter and Brian Carter; and her caregiver Beth Miller. She is also survived by her best friend, soul mate, and husband.
