It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Staton Jr. (Morehead, Kentucky), who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Staton and Iva McLain Staton; his close friend Dorothy Williams; his sons, Gerald and Robert Staton; and his siblings, Velmond, Marvin, Arvie, William, David Staton, Francis Caudill, Norma Myers and Elvera Ayersman.
He is survived by: his children, Roy Staton of Bath County, Phillip Staton of Bath County, Mary Hamm of Ewing, Debbie Hamm of South Carolina, Peggy Spurlock of Bath County, Linda Crouch of Bath County, Lillian Jones of Morehead and Clara Knipp of Morehead; his sister Carmie Jean Estlack of Southington; and his grandson Billy. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other extended family.
