He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ora Stewart and Margaret Rosina Tankersley Stewart; his brother Kevin Stewart; and his nephew Charles "Charlie" Stewart. He is survived by: his children, James Michael Stewart (Alexis) of Mt. Sterling, Ashlee Stewart (Cody Brierley) of Flemingsburg and Destini Stewart (Cameron Chambers) of Crestwood, Kentucky; his stepsons, Jared Stewart (Ashton) of Maysville, Derrick Burton of Hillsboro, Johnathon Burton of Hillsboro and Dalton Burton of Hillsboro; his granddaughter Summer Harmon; his siblings, Chris Stewart of Fleming County, Greg Stewart (Tonya) of Fleming County, Chad Stewart of Iowa and Shearl Stewart Burke (Gale) of Goddard; and his friend Martha. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with other extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hutton Funeral Home (7634 Hillsboro Rd, Hillsboro, KY 41049). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
