He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard and Mary Lucille Alvey; his daughter Amanda Faye Alvey; his sister Judith C. Alvey; and his son-in-law Nicholas D. Polites.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Alvey; his daughters, Melissa Polites of Morganfield and Jennifer (Zach Swift) of Henderson, KY; his grandchildren, Caden, Sahara, Dalton, Drake Polites, Madelyn and Elliot Swift; and his brothers, Jimmy Alvey of Evansville, IN and Paul Alvey of Henderson, KY.
