He is survived by: his children, Mary Briggs of Henderson, KY, Breanna Marshall of Morganfield, KY, Jason Briggs (Doreen) of Flint, MI, Jacob Stewart (Nicole) of Harrisburg, Justin Briggs of Sullivan Co, James Briggs, Jr. and Jordan Briggs of Henderson, KY; his siblings, Mable Briggs Johnson (Clem) of Morganfield, KY, Monica Perry (Chris), Shirley Jobe (Tim) of Henderson, KY, Stella Collins of Morganfield, KY, Floyd L Briggs of Indianapolis, IN, Jerald Daniel Briggs (Ken) of Indianapolis, IN and Thomas Christopher Collins (Kathy) of Norwalk, CT; his aunt Dorothy McGuire of Indianapolis, IN; his uncle Ronald Kent; and his sister-in-law Rita Briggs of Henderson, KY. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Carr's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (628 W Main St, Morganfield, KY 42437).
