He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Powell and Blanche Powell (Wilson); his wife Joyce Fay Powell; and his sisters, Ruth Martin, Wilma Crowley and Georgia Hopper.
He is survived by: his children, LaDonna Powell (Glenn Cummings) of Dixon, KY, Tina Bradford (Ronnie) of Morganfield, KY and Brent Powell (Jessica) of Greenville, SC; his sister Sami K. Powell of Arizona; his grandchildren, Weston Bradford, Travis Bradford and Brianna Duncan; and his great grandchildren, Jones Bradford, Hank Bradford, Hadley Murrell, Scarlett Duncan, Talon Durham, Kadence Bradford, Gavin Bradford and Emarie Bradford.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Whitsell Funeral Home - Morganfield (250 N Court St, Morganfield, KY 42437). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
