He was predeceased by: his parents, R. G. "Dan" Cornwell and Rose Cornwell; his wife Barbara Mattingly Cornwell; his grandson Clinton Cornwell; and his sisters, Margaret Dempsey, Edna Bealmear, Maebelle Moore and Beverly June Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Thornsberry (Gary) of Sturgis, KY, Paula Horne (Gary) of Evansville, IN and Ronnie Cornwell (Linda) of Morganfield, KY; his sister Gladys Snyder of Sturgis, KY; and his caregiver Jonetta Ebelhar. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
