She was predeceased by : her parents, Dolly Demple Streets and James Payne; her daughters, Vickie McAttee and Kathy Thomas; her husband Michael D. Nixon; and her brother Donald Brinkley.

She is survived by : her children, Mike Nixon of Henderson, KY. and Sharon Nixon of Morganfield, KY.; and her grandchildren, Jordan Michael Nixon, Kelly Franks, Jimmy Givens, Dina McAttee and John Nixon.
