With sadness, we share the passing of Cheryl L Amos of Morgantown, Kentucky. Cheryl, born on October 30, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Norris and Naomi O'quinn Simmons; and her siblings, Betsy Zerbey, Joyce Meyers and Ted Norris.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Amos of Morgantown; her sons, Christopher Burns of Mount Vernon and Michael Burns Jr. of Amelia, Ohio; her stepdaughter Stacey Hess (Ellis) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Victoria Norris, Logan Burns, Matthew Hess, Aidrionna Burns, Austin Burns and Seth Burns. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel (927 W G L Smith St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
