He was predeceased by: his parents, William David and Sharon Rose Dotson; his siblings, Sharon "Penny" Wester and James Daniel Dotson; his grandparents, William, Charlene Moore Dotson, Dan Rogers and Mable Young; James Neeley, Bob Toomey and Phil Higginbothom.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Phelps; his children, Thaddeus of Morgantown, Morgan Dotson of Morgantown, Maggie Grace of Morgantown and Kaleb Hunt of Morgantown; his grandsons, Treyson Allen Dotson, Macon Alexander Dotson and Reeves David Hunt; his nieces and nephews, Danny Wester, Beth Wester, Chadd Wester, Ben Dotson, Lucas Dotson, Kirstin Brooks and Rachel Waters; his mother-in-law Gale Phelps; his brother-in-law Daren Phelps; his close friend Joey Givens; and his cousin Katrina Cole Maniscalco.
