It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Everett Phelps of Morgantown, Kentucky, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Evertt Phelps; his brother Russell Dale Phelps; and his sister-in-law Karen West Phelps. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Diane Odell Phelps; his sons, Brian Phelps Sr. (Vannessa), Gregory Phelps (Jennifer) and Bobby Lindsey (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Latisha Adcock (Hunter), Brian Phelps Jr., Natasha Johnson, Harlequin Phelps (Ashley), Autumn Phelps, Evertt Brody Phelps, Charlie Phelps and Wyatt Phelps; his great grandchild Daisy Johnson; his mother Betty Dimple Renfrow Phelps; and his brother JD Phelps (Jessica). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (403 N Main St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
