She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Dean Hammers; her parents, Lester Phelps and Pauline Shepherd Phelps; and her siblings, William Phelps, Nola Embry, Leo Phelps, Sara Lee, James "Big Jim" Phelps, Randell Phelps, Everett Phelps, Wendell "Nip" Phelps and Martin Phelps.

She is survived by: her son Troy Lee Lawrence (Deanna) of Morgantown, KY; her grandchildren, Shelly Flener (Trey) of Morgantown, Dakota Lawrence (Grace) of Morgantown, Ty Lawrence (Lindsey) of Morgantown and Dawson Phelps (Liv) of Richmond, KY.; her great grandchildren, Lane, Tate, Cooper and Knox; and her siblings, Raymond L. Phelps of Morgantown, KY, Helen P. Henderson of Morgantown, KY, David Phelps (Karen) of Morgantown, KY and Charlie Phelps (Shannon) of Morgantown, KY.
