He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland E. Childress and Dora C. Niccum Childress; and his half-siblings, Everett, Charles Cameron, William Lester and Raymond D. Childress.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Childress (Doloris McKinnney) of Morgantown, KY, Patricia Pendley of Gallatin, TN and Ramona Fisher (Steve) of Morgantown, KY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel (927 W G L Smith St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
