He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Lee Martin; his daughter Tina Porter; his parents, Wilbur Martin and Altha Willis Martin; and his brothers, Earl, Adril, Osby and Beckham Martin.

He is survived by: his children, Angie McKinney (Joddie), Sonia Smith (Johnnie), Cecilia Kirby (Neal) and Jeff Lee (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Rebecca Raymer, Elizabeth Porter (Josh), Adam Smith (Sarah), Audrey Pendley (Collin), Andrew Porter, Katie Wilson (Jordan), Ernest Lee (Peyton) and Jennifer McLean. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (403 N Main St, Morgantown, KY 42261). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Belmont Cemetery Belmont Church.
