It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verbal L. Haist (Morgantown, Kentucky), who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her siblings, Wilbur Cook and Gaynell Hodges. She is survived by : her children, Carl Daugherty (Kaye Pendley Howard) of Banock, KY, JoAnn Campbell (Stewart) of Marietta and Matthew Coomes (Tina) of Middletown, KY; her grandchildren, Giles Taylor of Morgantown, KY, Jared Daugherty (Kathleen) of Joelton, TN, Grant Daugherty of Fort Gordon, Mandy Campbell (Carol) of Austell, Jon Campbell (Jenny), Jamie Castillo of Louisville, KY, James Coomes (Alex) of Louisville, KY and Mark Coomes of Tallahassee, FL; and her siblings, Lavelle Cook (Bonnie) of Brooks, KY and Linda Sue Johnson (Dale) of Morgantown, KY. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
