We are sad to announce that, on January 14, 2026, at the age of 85, Alice Faye Gilvin of Morning View, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Shirlie Gilvin; her son John Gilvin; her parents, Foster Works and Mary Foster Pelley Works; her siblings, Joy McKinley and John Works; and her niece Pam Thornton.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Gilvin (Melissa) and Darrin Gilvin (Tamara); her daughter-in-law Judy Gilvin; her grandchildren, Matt Gilvin (Kelsey), Bradly Gilvin (Karla) and Kara Tolliver (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Tatum, Elowen, Clarke, Felisa, Foster and Marcos; her niece Kathleen Erion (Mark); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bill Thornton (Kristie), Joe Thornton, Kyle Erion (Amy) and Kelly Janszen (Brandon).
In memory of Faye, memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
