It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Elaine McClain Evans of Mount Eden, Kentucky, who passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas and Maude Pearl Snyder McClain; her husband Wayne Evans; her siblings, Donald McClain, Billy McClain, Marilyn Carlisle, Carolyn Moore and Linda Troutman; and her son-in-law Robbie Shewmaker.
She is survived by: her daughter Allison Shewmaker of Mount Eden; her grandchildren, Jordan Hardin (Chelsea) of Taylorsville and Robert Shewmaker of Mount Eden; her great grandchildren, Silas, Millie, Emma, River and Emery; and her sister-in-law Sarita McClain of Taylorsville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
