With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita H. Thacker of Mount Eden, Kentucky, born in Evansville, Indiana, who passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Joe Frank and Dorothy Mina Clark Hughes. She is survived by : her husband James R. Thacker, Jr. of Mount Eden; her sisters, Rachel Edmunds of Frederecksburg, Virginia and Roberta Miller of Smyrna, Tennessee; and her stepchildren, Ashley Self of Salem and James "Ryan" Thacker of Sonora, Kentucky. She is also survived by her four step-grandchildren.
