He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Richards and Emily K. Stone Richards. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Cline Richards of Mt. Sterling; his sons, Billy "Bo" Richards of Mt. Sterling, Thomas "Wes" Richards of Mt. Sterling and John Edward Richards (Pamela) of Fairfield, TX; his granddaughter Emily Richards; his great grandchild Elijah Coomer; his sister Kathy Dilley of Fulton, MS; his sister-in-law Mozelle Combs of Jeffersonville; and his pet Daisy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals (1002 Woodford Dr, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery (6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356).
