She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Carter and Sue Carter of Hazen, Arkansas.; and her sister Dr. Ginny Lewis (Tommy). She is survived by: her husband Bill Bruening; her daughters, Caroline Bruening and Natalie Bruening; and her siblings, Dr. Niki Carter, Becky Wakefield (Harry) and Alan Carter (Debra).
