She was predeceased by: her parents, James W. S. Calvert and Thelma G. Boone Calvert; her husband Robert Lee Nelson; and her brothers, James S. Calvert and Richard B. Calvert.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Nelson (Michelle) and Nicole Bennett; her granddaughters, Ashley Vogel (Kevin) and Sydney Bennett; her great grandchild Avery Vogel; and her sister Constance Doughman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
