She was predeceased by: her husband James D. Mayes; her parents, Orvie Stewart and Eunice Willis Stewart; her stepdaughter Ella Lathem; her siblings, Deloris Todd, Wilma Fryer and Edward Dale Stewart; and her grandchild Addysen Mayes.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Johnson (Hazel), Melissa "Missy" Pasley (Gary), Michael S. Johnson and James C. Mayes (Rachel); her stepdaughter Jamie Morton (Dale); her grandchildren, Robert Johnson (Megan), Johnathan Levart, Whitney Bowman, Ashley Borders (Tylor), Steven Pasley (Bethany), Mikah Johnson, Veronika Mayes, Elijah Karnes, James Cole Mayes, Ethan Mayes and Myles Tayte Johnson; her great grandchildren, Riley Johnson, Kaisen Hill, Ashor Borders, Greyson Todd Blair and Janiya Levart; and her sister-in-law Wanda Wood. She is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
