We are sad to announce that, on February 24, 2026, at the age of 90, Joe Lewis Greene (Mount Sterling, Kentucky) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafayette "Lafe" Greene and Sadie Clemons Greene; his wife Carolyn "Pudd" Anderson Greene; his son Ralph Garrett; his grandchildren, Bryan Greene and J. C. Walker; and his siblings, Hank Greene, Clemons Greene, Angela Scott, Thelma Coleman, Betty Johnson, Nora Ferguson, Rena Lewis, Clara Thomas, Ella Mae Wilson, Lafe Alan Greene and Phobe Burns.
He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Parks, Anita Greene, Jimmy Greene (Brenda), Donald Greene, Marsha Jouett (Charlie), Cortez "Corky" Mason (Stephanie), Steven Greene (Jennifer) and Rainy Clemons; and his sister Carolyn Greene. He is also survived by grandchildren, 17; great grandchildren.
