He was predeceased by: his parents, Garfield Compton and Lizzie Matney Compton; and his wife Margaret "Betty" Ingram Compton. He is survived by: his children, Benita Carter of Mt. Sterling, Melanie Tabor (Paul) of Jeffersonville and Robert Compton (Dora) of Mt. Sterling; his grandchildren, MacKenzie Smith (Derek), Kaylee Compton, Karlee Hughbanks (Maddox), Dustin Tabor (Kathryn) and Josh Tabor (Taylor); and his great grandchildren, Kimber Tabor, Tanner Tabor and Walker Tabor.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals (1002 Woodford Dr, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
