Peggy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Peggy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Peggy will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clay Carpenter and Mayme Carmichael Carpenter; her husband Billy Owings Garrett; and her sister Elizabeth Ann Karrick. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Garrett (Brenda) of Mt. Sterling, KY, Robert Gregory Garrett (Karen) of Owingsville, KY, Brenda Newkirk of Morehead, KY and Tracy Crouch (Doug) of Mt. Sterling, KY. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel (109 E Main St, Mt Sterling, KY 40353). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at the Machpelah Cemetery (600 E Locust St, Mt Sterling, KY 40353).
