He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Wells and Lula Weddington Wells; his wife Deloris King Wells; his son Gary Wells; his siblings, Randy Wells, James Wells, Derb Wells, Walter Wells, Aubrey Wells, Denzil Wells, Florence, Lucille, Venus, Alvis, Rosemary, Nell, Sharon, Betty Haney and Juanita; and his grandson Michael Clark.
He is survived by: his children, Denzil Wells of Mt. Sterling, KY, Glenda White of Mt. Sterling, KY and Libby Clark (Bill) of Winchester, KY; and his grandchildren, Cathy Dodge (Brian), Stephanie White, Allison Lewis (Randy), Jessica Davis (Tim), Ryan Wells (Holly), Brandi Downs (Bradley), J. R. Wells (Lori) and Eugene Wells. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
