We bid farewell to William Ragan Gay of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 13, 2025 at the age of 79. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bigstaff and Martha Jean Gay (Webb); his sister Mary Francis Clemons "Chic"; his parents-in-law, Mac and Elizabeth Ann Highley; and his brother-in-law Charles David Highley.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Gay (Highley); his children, Jim Gay (Cheryl) of Mount Sterling and Beth Smiley (Jim) of Livonia; his grandchildren, Laura Ragan Gay, Harrison Gay of Mount Sterling, Lauren Smiley and Alison Smiley of Livonia; his nieces, Jeanne Faulkner Lane (Steve) and Laura Gay Faulkner; his nephew Malcolm Scott Highley; his close friends, Kristen Stephens, Shawna Scott and Liz Torshia; Vicki Highley of Mount Sterling. He is also survived by one great niece, several great nephews and great, great nephews, cousins.
