He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Sanford Coffey and Lottie "Bessie" French Coffey; his son-in-law John New; and his siblings, William Lewis Coffey, Johnny Coffey, Lucy T. Coffey, Hester Proctor, Hazel Shelton, Irene McNew, Lavene Powell and Lucille Hill.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Anderkin Coffey; his daughter Vicki New of Nicholasville, Kentucky; his granddaughter Shawna Lundin (Chris) of Simpsonville, Kentucky; his great grandchildren, Zachary Lundin and Matthew Lundin; and his close friends, Donnie and Brenda Parsons.
