With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Bell Mobley of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Carpenter and Annie Rose Carpenter; and her siblings, Herman, Sherman, Emmett, Floyd Carpenter, Pauline Harris, Adia Smith and Martha Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Willis Durham of Calloway, Vonnie Mink of Calloway, Nell of Calloway, Bobby Hurd of Calloway, Ben of Somerset, Pam Durham of Somerset, David of Somerset, Brandy Daugherty of Somerset, Jessie Mae Powell of Somerset, Myrtle Roaden of Livingston, Nina of Livingston, Ronnie Waddle of Livingston, Paula and Steve Cameron of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home (365 W Main St, Mt Vernon, KY 40456).
