She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Harter and Virgil Austin Harter; her husband Donald Ray Hickey; her son Wesley Ray Sims; and her siblings, Rachel Gwin, Michel Harter and Roscoe Harter.
She is survived by: her children, Amanda McRae (Melvin) of Lillington, NC and Annettie McNeil of St. Augustine, FL; and her siblings, Phil Harter (Connie) of Jacksonville, NC and Diana Vansickle of Darlington, SC. She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
